Three Little Pigs
Once there was a family of pigs. There was Mama Pig, Daddy Pig and three little pigs. The little pigs were pink and round and cute. One day, Mummy and Daddy pig went out to get food. They told the little pigs "Do not open the door. Do not go out of the house. Do not talk to any one you do not know".
"Okay" said the three little pigs and shut the door.
Some time after, they heard a knock on the door."Knock!Knock!Knock!"
"Who is there?" asked the little pigs."I am your aunty"
"Which aunty?" asked the little pigs.
"Open the door and see yourself"
"What do you want?" asked the little pigs.
"Open the door. I want to see you".
"We are busy playing" said the little pigs.
"Oh, Can I play with you? I have so many toys".
"What toys?" asked the little pigs.
"Open the door and see for yourself".
"Toys!" The little pigs ran to open the door.
They saw a wolf standing outside.
"You are not our aunty" said the first pig."You are right"
"You are a wolf" said the second pig.
"You are right"
"You have no toys" said the third pig
"You are right"
"So why have you come here?" asked the little pigs.
"To eat you!
Chomp! Chomp! Chomp! Yummm!"
The fox rubbed it's belly, gave a loud burp and went home happy.

The Jumbo Sneeze
It was a lazy afternoon in the jungle. There was a cool wind blowing. All around, it was very quiet. The only sound was of the leaves rustling as the young branches on the trees swayed gently from side to side. The animals in the jungle had all settled themselves for an afternoon nap. Jacky the jackal was resting under a coconut tree after a good meal.
Ribby the rabbit was resting in his hole.
Piyu the peacock was perched on the tree, his head nodding up and down.
Also taking a nap were Pinky squirrel and Minky monkey.
Jumbo elephant was sprawled on the jungle floor, deep in sleep.
Suddenly out of the stillness, there came a sound of a giant sneeze "Aaaaaaachhhooooooo!!!"
Piyu screamed and jumped in the air. Jacky leaped back in fright. Ribby shivered and crept deeper into his hole. Pinky the squirrel and Minky the monkey were thrown away from the tree on which they were resting. All the animals looked around to see who had sneezed so loudly and they saw Jumbo the elephant rubbing his trunk which was also his nose. And just at the very moment the earth shook. The trees shook, the birds and monkeys screeched, animals ran here and there in panic and Jacky, who was too surprised to move, fell down unconscious as a few coconuts fell on him. A few seconds later, the earth stopped shaking. All the animals gathered around Jacky.
"Oh look at Jacky!! O, What happened to Jacky!! the animals exclaimed.
"It's all his fault" said Minky, pointing at Jumbo.
"Yes, yes, it's his fault" agreed Pinky.
"My fault?? What did I do" asked Jumbo taken aback.
"You sneezed so hard the earth shook and all the coconuts fell on Jacky making him unconscious" said Pinky.
"I don't think it was my faaauuu..." said Jumbo as he felt another sneeze coming on.
"Don't you dare" screeched Piyu.
Jumbo buried his nose in the thick grass and tried to stifle his sneeze as best as he could. But the sneeze wouldn't go away. It kept itching and clawing inside his nose. He shook his head hard from side to side, he thrashed his trunk against the trees, he rolled about on the ground, he even stomped on his trunk but the sneeze just wouldn't go away.
The sneeze was driving him crazy but he dared not sneeze.
"Run and save your lives. Jumbo has gone mad" screamed Pinky. All the animals ran away from there in fear.
Jumbo hurried to the river and buried his trunk in the water thinking the cool water might stop the sneeze. But the sneeze still did not stop. What's more, the twigs floating in the river tickled his nose and he just had to sneeze.
"Aaaaashoooo" he sneezed in the water. Water sprayed all over startling the water birds. Fishes, turtles and tortoises swimming nearby were thrown into the air.
"How dare you come here and sneeze? You almost killed us!" the fishes shouted at Jumbo.
"Oh, I am sorry" said Jumbo dismayed.
All the animals were very angry at Jumbo. Wherever he went, they looked at him angrily and did not talk to him or play with him. Jumbo felt very sad.
Tipu the lion, who was the king of the jungle, called a meeting of all the animals. Dhrona the owl sat beside him.
"So, what complaints do all of you have against Jumbo"? Tipu asked.
"My Lord, Jumbo sneezed so hard, we were thrown away from our tree" said Pinky and Minky.
"My Lord, I along with many other fishes were thrown out of the water" said Tooti the turtle.
"My Lord, not only that, he sneezed so hard, he caused an earthquake and coconuts fell on Jacky making him unconscious and injuring him badly. He has still not recovered fully" said Piyu.
Hearing this, Dhrona laughed.
He said "My dear Piyu, the earthquake had nothing to do with Jumbo's sneeze. The earthquake was caused due to some disturbances under the earth. It would have come even if Jumbo had not sneezed".
"But we are hurt because of his sneeze" said Piyu.
"That may be true but Jumbo cannot help it. He is so big, his sneeze will also be big like him" said Dhrona.
Jumbo felt relieved. He no longer had to stop his sneeze.
The other animals now understood it was wrong on their part to blame Jumbo. All of them hugged and patted him and said sorry to him.
Just them Jumbo felt another sneeze coming.
"Quick...turn the other side" said Dhrona.
Jumbo turned away from the animals and sneezed "Aaaaaachhooooo". How good it felt!
All the animals laughed and Jumbo was happy to be their friend again.

Sippy Learns to Fly
Sippy the little sparrow lived in a hole in the branch of a big banyan tree. 
She had a very big problem in her life. She could not fly. As morning came and all the birds flew into the sky looking for food, Sippy would hop from branch to branch feeding on small insects that lived on the tree. Often, she would have to go hungry if she could not find enough food on the tree. As she could not fly, she could not go far and wide searching for food like the other birds.
Piggy the pigeon was her friend.
Sometimes,though very rarely, Piggy would let Sippy ride on her back so that she could have sufficient food to eat.
One day it was raining very hard. When the rain stopped for a while, Sippy came out of her home. She hopped from branch to branch looking for worms and insects to eat. But alas, all of them had been washed away in the heavy rains. There was no food for Sippy. She searched every nook and corner of the tree but there was no food to be found. She thought she would have to go hungry for the day. Just then she saw her friend Piggy.
"Piggy dear, there is no food to be found on the tree. Will you please carry me on your back and take me elsewhere so that I can have some food?" asked Sippy
"I do want to help you, Sippy. But you have grown up. It is difficult for me to carry you and fly a long distance" said Piggy
"Oh, you dont have to go very far. Just take me to the fields nearby. I am sure I will find sufficient food there" said Sippy
"But it is high time you learned to fly, Sippy" said Piggy
"I know, Piggy. And I have tried a lot. But each time I jump in the air and try to fly, I fall down. I am afraid I will hurt myself" said Sippy
"Thats how all birds learn to fly. They fall down the first few times. But you need to keep trying until you succeed" said Piggy.
"Oh, I don't want to hurt myself. I'll try to manage like this as long as I can. Can we go now please? I am very hungry" said Sippy.
Piggy understood it was no use talking to Sippy. She just was not willing to try enough.
"Ok, hop on to my back" she said.
Sippy hopped on to Piggy's back and Piggy took off into the sky.
Dusty the eagle was soaring in the sky looking for some suitable prey. He saw Piggy and Sippy.
"Now that is what I call a curious sight. I have seen men riding on horses and monkeys riding on elephants but, I dare say, this is the first time I have seen a sparrow ride a pigeon" he thought.
Then he thought some more "Now if I can catch both of them, I will have enough food for the rest of the day".
He swooped down towards the little birds.
Piggy saw Dusty flying towards them and realized they were in danger. She knew she had to fly fast to escape getting eaten by Dusty but it was difficult to do so with Sippy riding on her. She tried to fly with all her might but soon she was panting and puffing.
"Sippy, you need to get off my back and fly. Otherwise we both will get eaten by Dusty" said Piggy.
"Oh, Piggy, you know I can't fly. Please help me" cried Sippy.
"You have to help yourself. There is no other way now" said Piggy firmly and so saying, she tilted sideways so that Sippy slipped from her back.
"OH OH" cried Sippy flapping her wings desperately so that she did not fall down.
"I am sorry Sippy" said Piggy and flew away fast before Dusty could reach her.
Sippy turned to see Dusty coming close to her. She knew if she did not fly right then, she would either fall down and die or get eaten by Dusty.
Dusty was annoyed that the pigeon had escaped but the sparrow was still there and he could see it was struggling to fly.
"Ha! A bird that cannot fly! This is going to be an easy kill" he thought to himself.
Somehow Piggy had to save herself. She flapped and flapped but nothing happened. Then she tried really hard. She waved her wings up and down strongly, pushing the air behind her and lo! she was up in the air. Up, up and up she went. She flew as hard and and fast as her tiny wings would allow her and in no time, she was no where to be seen.
"Huh, where did the sparrow go?" Dusty scratched his head, bewildered at the bird's sudden flight.
Disappointed, he flew away looking for some other prey.
Sippy made her way to her tree. When she reached there she saw Piggy sitting on a branch weeping.
"Piggy!" Sippy called out.
Piggy could not believe her eyes. She was very sure Dusty would have eaten Sippy.
"Oh Sippy! I am so glad to see you are safe. And you can fly now!" said Piggy.
"Yes Piggy, I can fly now" said Sippy.
"I am so sorry I had to leave you and come" said Piggy.
"No problem, Piggy. If you hadn't left me, I certainly wouldn't have learnt to fly" said Sippy.
They hugged each other again happily.

Making Fun is not Funny
It was late mid-summer evening. The sun had set some time back but the water was still warm. Mini and Moni were lazing around in the warm water. Life was dull for quite some time now. Nothing interesting had happened for a very long time.
As was her nature, Moni was starting to get restless.
"Our days are so dull nowadays. I am so bored I almost feel like crying" said Moni
"Why what's wrong with the days. They seem to be just fine to me. I have so much time to bask in the sun, enjoy the warm water" said Mini
"I miss our adventures. Life was so much more exciting before" said Moni
Mini understood her friend's restlessness.
"So, let's do something interesting" said Mini
"Like what?" asked Moni
"Well, the dance party we had was a big success [Read about it here]. Why don't we organize something like that again?" asked Mini
"I know. Its summer now and all the fishes are looking so bright with their scales glistening in the light. Lets have a contest and decide which fish is the most beautiful" said Moni
Mini knew how much Moni obsessed over looking good and how proud she was of her slender body and long fins. The only thing she hated about herself was her yellow color. Oh, how she wished she was bright and golden like Mini.
Or maybe even a shimmering blue or a glistening green. Anything but this dull yellow.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" asked Mini
"Yes. I have been thinking about it for so long. It will be so much fun!" said Moni
Mini was only too happy to share Moni's excitement. Together they swam fast and shared their news with all their friends.
"This is great news. It's a long time since we had some kind of event here" exclaimed Tutella
"Yes, let's spread the word around". So saying the friends gave the news to all their friends who in turn conveyed it to all their friends. Soon every body in the ocean was talking about it and were eagerly waiting for it.
Finally the big day was here. The stage was a colorful reef in the middle of which was a cave. The participants could swim into the cave from the rear entrance and then swim out of the mouth of the cave where the crowd had gathered to watch.
Moni stepped onto the stage. "Hello Friends!! A very good afternoon to all of you" she said.
The audience clapped and cheered but she also heard some loud "Boooooo"s. She turned to see a group of sharks and their minions.
She ignored them and continued "Welcome to the Deep Sea Summer Celebrations. First to show her vibrant summer colors is Miss Red". Out appeared from the mouth of the cave Miss Red. She turned this way and that proudly showing off her bright and shiny red scales. The crowd went "ooooh" and "aaaaah" but suddenly there was a shout "Red Red Sleepy Head". 
Moni and Miss Red were taken by surprise as was the rest of the crowd. Moni saw it was the same group of mischief making sharks. Miss Red swam back to the cave in a huff. Next to swim in was Mr.Blue. As he showed off his colors to the crowd, the sharks shouted "Blue Blue Stupid Too". 
Mr.Blue felt insulted and swam away angrily.
Next came Miss.Green. The sharks shouted "Green Green Really Mean".
Miss Green was shocked as she was a gentle fish and never thought anyone would call her mean. She swam back to her cave in tears.
Mini was angry and also she was worried as Moni was about to swim in next. Moni was barely out of the cave when the sharks started shouting "Yellow Yellow Stinky Fellow".
Mini was really infuriated. She shouted "How dare you insult my friend and ruin our show? Don't you know its bad to make fun of others".
At this the sharks shouted "Gold Gold too cold to scold" and jeered and booed and laughed even more. Mini and Moni did not know what to do.
The sharks pushed back Mini and Moni and started chasing the crowd. All the sea animals swam here and there trying to escape. Nobody wanted to become a meal for the sharks. There was complete mayhem all around. Mini and Moni knew they were no match for the sharks. All they could do was stand back and watch as the sharks ruined the event they had planned and organized with so much effort.
Suddenly, much to their surprise, they saw it was the sharks who were now running scared.
Among the sea creatures they were chasing were few electric eels and sting rays who decided to fight back. The sharks leapt this way and that to avoid getting stung by the sting rays or getting a shock from the electric eels. They realized they had met their match and swam away as soon as they could.
The sharks were chased away successfully but the big day was definitely ruined.
Mini knew her friend was very disappointed. She put her fins around Moni and said "Dont worry, we'll host this again next summer and we'll make sure nothing like this happens again".
Moni smiled and hugged her friend and the two went back to their rock to rest as they had had more excitement than they had bargained for.
Moni had just one last thing to say before she fell asleep. She said "Mini, I realized one thing today"
"Whats that?" asked Mini sleepily
"Its wrong to make fun of how others look. And the same way, it is also wrong to obsess too much on how we look. People around is will love us for who we are and not for the way we look".
"I learnt something too" said Mini "I learnt that a bully is a bully only if we let him or her bully us. And bullies are not very courageous. All we need to do is believe in ourselves and stand up for ourselves".
So saying both drifted off to sleep.
